CPBL Foreign Players Updates Volume #184
Fubon Guardians News: Adalberto Mejía
The Fubon Guardians have lost another foreign player. On August 22, the team announced that Adalberto Mejía is going to leave Taiwan due to a family emergency.
According to the team, Adalberto Mejía’s father is seriously ill, and he decided to take a temporary leave back to the Dominican Republic. After sorting out the necessary medical arrangements for his father, Mejía will return to Taiwan.
As of today, Adalberto Mejía posted a 4.84 ERA and 1.19 WHIP over 22.1 innings for the Guardians. With Mejia leaving the team, the Guardians are now left with Mike Loree and Yomar Concepcion as their foreign players.
The Guardians have recently signed Dylan Unsworth back in late July. However, due to the current border restrictions, Unsworth is still not in Taiwan yet.

Yikes, hopefully Unsworth has been trying to stay in game shape. The Guardians aren’t having much luck this year.
