The CPBL team finished week 1 with 3 wins and 5 losses. Offense-wise, they’re able to get on base. However, the team just unable score when runners on scoring positions.
“I noticed a lot of our young guys are all trying to swing for the fence, they just need to slow it down a bit and take back a notch” Said the CPBL team manager Lin.
Chinatrust Brothers 王威晨 (Wang Wei-Chen) and Lamigo Monkeys 黃子鵬 (Huang Tzu-Peng) are two of the notable players from this years CPBL squad.
Wang posted .355/.459/.452 over 31 at-bats, while the sidearmer Huang has been solid with the record of 1.39 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 11 strikeouts over 13 innings.

One of the players to watch for is Orix Buffaloes pitcher 吉田 凌 (Yoshida Ryo). Who posted a record of 3.21 ERA, 1.36 WHIP over 14 innings so far in the winter league.
Ryo also pitched a 3-hit shutout game against NPB East team on December 2nd, where he used total of 119 pitches while striking 5.
