CPBL Sets Attendance Limits Due to Coronavirus

On May 11, Taiwan CDC reported seven domestic coronavirus cases. One of the cases can be traced to the recent cluster in Taoyuan, but the CDC could not determine the sources for the other six cases.

With the recent spike in domestic cases, the CPBL announced they are going to implement the following attendance restrictions from May 11 until June 8:

  • Reducing the seating capacity to 50%
  • Fans must wear masks at the games.
  • No food and drinks.
  • Assigned seating with social distancing.
  • Fans must provide their real names when buying tickets.

As of today, there have been 1210 confirmed coronavirus cases with 12 death in Taiwan. Out of those confirmed cases, 1093 have since recovered.
