Spruill pitched for the KIA Tigers in the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) with the annual salary of $700,000 USD in 2016 season. His performance has been solid in the beginning however ran into arm fatigue issue half way into the 2016 season. Spruill finished his 2016 season in the KBO with a record of 10 Wins, 5.27 ERA with an 147kph (91.8mph) average fastball.

The last time Lamigo Monkey had a shutout game can be traced all the way back to 6th May 2014. Where former Seibu Lions pitcher 許銘傑 (Hsu Ming-Chieh) pitched a 4-hit shutout against Chinatrust Brothers.
The most recent shutout game in CPBL was 19th June 2016, when Uni-Lions’ 廖文揚 (Liao Wen-Yang) pitched 6-hit, 1 walk shutout against the EDA Rhinos (Fubon Guardians). That was the only shutout game in the entire 2016 season.
