Fubon Guardians News: Jake Dahlberg

On July 16, the Fubon Guardians released Jake Dahlberg. The 30-year-old American left-hander finished his 2024 CPBL season with only one game appearance, where he went six scoreless innings with five strikeouts.

Jake Dahlberg joined the Fubon Guardians in April and began his 2024 season in the CPBL minor league. After five starts in the minor league, he was eventually called up to the first team to face the Uni-Lions on May 15. As mentioned earlier, Dahlberg was stellar in that game, tossing six scoreless innings and only allowing four hits.

However, shortly after that game, Jake Dahlberg was sent down to the farm team due to a left elbow injury. He pitched two more rehab games in the farm league on May 31 and June 7, respectively, but it was nothing to write home about. Dahlberg’s final farm league appearance was on June 7, where he walked two and gave up a hit in 0.2 innings.

With Jake Dahlberg’s release, the Fubon Guardians have decided to register Jack Labosky to the active roster. As of today, the Fubon Guardians have Enderson Franco, Nivaldo Rodríguez, Brandon Brennan, Jack Labosky, and Aaron Leasher as their foreign players for the 2024 CPBL season.

It is also worth noting that Brandon Brennan is currently dealing with knee discomfort, and Nivaldo Rodríguez will be sidelined for about two weeks with a sprained ankle.
