Fubon Guardians News: Jack Labosky

On August 24, the Fubon Guardians released Jack Labosky by removing him from the active roster.

The 28-year-old American right-hander joined the Guardians as a mid-season signing on July 1 and started five games for the team. Labosky finished his brief 2024 CPBL season with a solid 2.40 ERA and 1.43 WHIP over 30 innings.

While the Guardians did not reveal the reasoning behind Labosky’s release, the online community speculated that it was due to the team wanting a left-handed pitcher in the rotation.

Although Jack Labosky’s CPBL journey was cut short, since he was released before the August 31 trade deadline, other CPBL teams are now free to approach and sign him for the 2025 season without any restrictions.

With the signing of Jack Labosky, as of today, the Fubon Guardians currently have Enderson Franco, Nivaldo Rodríguez, Aaron Leasher and Ben Braymer as their foreign players for the 2024 CPBL season.
