Chang Yu-Cheng First Career Hit in MLB
The Cleveland Indians have called up 張育成 (Yu Chang) from Triple-A on August 25. The 24-year-old Taiwanese infielder is expected to share time at the third base with Mike Freeman while Jose Ramirez is on the injured list.
In today’s game against the Kansas City Royals, Yu Chang started in the third base while batted seventh in the Indians’ lineup.
Chang wasted no time and was able to capitalise on his second trip to the show. He finished the game hitting 2-for-3 and collected his first career hit in the MLB.

Apart from providing firepower for the Indians’ lineup, Yu Chang also flashed the leather in this defensive play below. Chang backhanded a grounder at third and made a strong off-balance throw across the diamond for the out.
