On December 30, SET News reported that the Uni-Lions have re-signed Jackson Stephens for the 2026 CPBL season. The 31-year-old American right-hander will return for his second season in Taiwan.
According to the Uni-Lions’ general manager, the two sides have reached a preliminary agreement and are currently in the process of finalising the deal.

Jackson Stephens joined the Uni-Lions near the end of the 2026 season, just before the August 31 registration deadline. After two tune-up appearances in the minor league, he was immediately inserted into the first-team rotation and finished the season with an impressive 2.22 ERA and 0.95 WHIP, along with a solid 21.3 K% and an outstanding 2.13 BB% over 4 starts and 24.1 innings.
During the 2026 postseason, he started Game 1 of the Playoff Series for the Uni-Lions and earned the win by pitching seven innings, allowing just one run on 4 scattered hits.
As of today, the Uni-Lions currently have Brock Dykxhoorn (2-year deal) and Jackson Stephens as their group of foreign players for the 2026 CPBL season.
