CPBL Foreign Players Updates Volume #414
TSG Hawks News: Eric Stout
On 23 December, the TSG Hawks re-signed Eric Stout for the 2026 CPBL season. The 32-year-old American left-hander is set to return for his fourth season in Taiwan. According to the team, Eric Stout’s contract is worth 600,000 USD including performance-based incentive.
After spending half a season in Taiwan with the CTBC Brothers and a brief stint in Korea with the KIA Tigers, Eric Stout made only four starts in the KBO before a hamstring injury prematurely ended his 2024 campaign. He then opted for a change of scenery rather than returning to the CTBC Brothers, he signed with the TSG Hawks for the 2025 CPBL season.
Eric Stout proved to be a reliable presence in the Hawks rotation in 2025. Across 25 starts, he posted a solid 2.23 ERA (155 ERA+) with a 1.09 WHIP over 141.1 innings along with a 22 K%, 5.3 BB% and a 21.2 Whiff%.
With the re-signing of Eric Stout, the TSG Hawks now have Bradin Hagens and Steven Moya as their current group of foreign players.
