TSG Hawks News: Bradin Hagens

On December 24, the TSG Hawks announced the re-signing of Bradin Hagens for the 2025 CPBL season on a deal worth 392,500 USD. The 35-year-old American right-hander will return to Taiwan for his fifth season in the CPBL.

The Hawks’ general manager revealed to the media that the total value of 392,500 USD also includes performance incentives but decided not to go into detail on the contract.

Bradin Hagens began his 2024 season in the CPBL minor league and waited until mid-June before the Hawks added him to the active roster to replace the injured Kasahara Shōtarō.

Despite spending the 2021 to 2023 season as the Rakuten Monkeys reliever, Bradin Hagens transitioned quite smoothly into his new starting role with the Hawks. In over 13 starts, he posted a solid 2.04 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 79.1 innings.

“Bradin Hagens’ experience in professional baseball makes him a role model for our young Hawks players,” said the Hawks in the press release. “He often takes the initiative to check in with his fellow teammates, offering advice and bonds well with the local players.”

With the signing of Bradin Hagens, the Hawks now have Spenser Watkins, Onodera Kento, Yoshida Kazumasa and Steven Moya as their foreign players.
