Public Tender Failed: Asia-Pacific Baseball Complex

It seems the Uni-Lions and Tainan baseball fans would have to wait a bit longer for their new baseball stadium. According to the media, the public tender for the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadiums and Training Centers’ has failed to attract any bidders for the fourth time.

The city of Tainan first announced the plan for the Asia-Pacific International Baseball Stadiums and Training Centers back in 2016. The proposed multi-stadium baseball complex also includes a 25,000 seating capacity stadium for the Uni-Lions.

The Public Works Department told the media there were more than 25 firms enquired about the tender. However, none submit their bid at the end. “We plan to review and make some adjustment to the public tender and relaunch it.”
