Quick player profile about 陳金鋒 (Chen Chin-Feng)

陳金鋒 (Chen Chin-Feng) was signed out of Taiwan as an international free agent by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1999, after his stellar performance against Korean MLB pitcher Park Chan-Ho in the 1998 Asia Games.

Chen made his MLB debut in 2002.  Despite putting up really solid numbers in the spring training and in AAA, Chen was not given enough chance in the MLB.  Between 2002~2005 with only 25 PA.

After 2005 season, Chen Chin-Feng returned to Taiwan and joined La New Bears (Lamigo Monkeys) and quickly became one of the top premium hitter in CPBL.  However, due to being over used by the Taiwanese national team for various international tournaments over the years, Chen’s waist injuries worsen after the 2009 season.  He eventually announced his retirement after the 2016 season.  Chen finished his CPBL career with a combined stats of .304/.394/.520 with 132 HRs
