Wang Chien-Ming Joins the Guardians
After the brief 20 days stint as the Guardians’ guest-coach in June 2018, it seems 王建民 (Wang Chien-Ming) now has set his eyes on a long-term coaching position in the CPBL. The former New York Yankees’ RHP will join the Fubon Guardians’ coaching team for the 2019 season.
The Guardians currently scheduled to begin Fall training camp on October 25 for their minor league players. According to Liberty Sports, Wang Chien-Ming will return to Taiwan and report to the team next week.
Apart from his new Guardians’ coaching job, Wang will also work as a guest instructor for the Florida Baseball Ranch from November 28 to December 2 in Taiwan.
