Guardians’ Kao Kuo-Hui heads to the disabled list, might need surgery

Guardians have put the 3-time CPBL HR champion 高國輝 (Kao Kuo-Hui) on the disabled list for the 2nd time in 2017 season.  Kao is expected to miss the entire 1st half-season due to left wrist injury.

According to Guardians’ management, apart from the inflammation in wrist ligament there’s also bone fragments in his left wrist which most likely required surgery to remove.

We’re trying to avoid going down the surgery path, as Kao’s condition may still improve with rehab and rest.  Should Kao required surgery, he is expected to be out for the entire 2017 season”  Said the Guardians’ skipper 葉君璋 (Yeh Chun-Chang).  Kao Kuo-Hui has declined to comment on his injuries and whether he will have season ending surgery.

The reigning home run champion already missed the entire month of April due to wrist discomfort and have recently returns to the top team lineup.  Kao is currently hitting .182/.275/.432 since 7th of May.
