Guardians Report 2022 Season Opener Revenue

On April 7, the Fubon Guardians announced that they recorded more than 334,000 USD in revenue for their home opener on April 4.

It was a full house that night, with 12,100 fans crammed inside the Xinzhuang stadium. Although the Guardians ended up losing the game 1-4 to the CTBC Brothers, financially, it was a success for the Guardians.

In terms of the revenue breakdown, more than $167,000 came from ticket sales. The Guardians also sold more than $84,000 worth of merchandise on that day.

The team also revealed more than 20,000 concurrent viewers tuned in to the game via the Guardians’ online broadcast on Twitch. As of today, the Guardians are the only team in the CPBL that still offers free streaming of their home games on Twitch, LINE TV and Camerabay.
