Fubon Guardians News: Xavier Batista
On July 2, the Fubon Guardians announced they had removed Xavier Batista from the active roster. The 30-year-old Dominican outfielder finished his 2022 CPBL season with a slash line of .157/.250/.255 over 60 plate appearances.
Removing Xavier Batista from the active roster means that Batista can no longer play in the CPBL first team for the rest of the season. He is, however, still eligible to play on the farm team.
It is still unclear at this stage whether Xavier Batista will stay in Taiwan after being removed from the active roster. According to TSNA, Xavier Batista still has roughly two months left in his contract with the Guardians.
With a gap in the active roster, the Guardians have decided to register Enderson Franco.
