CTBC Brothers News: Kirk McCarty
On April 2, the CTBC Brothers announced the release of Kirk McCarty. The 29-year-old American left-hander appeared in just 2 spring training games, posting a 10.50 ERA over 6 innings, which ultimately led to him not making the Brothers’ active roster.
The team stated that they had reached a mutual understanding with Kirk McCarty regarding his departure and respected his decision to return to the United States to explore other opportunities.
“He has an energetic personality that brings great chemistry to the clubhouse. It’s unfortunate that he has chosen to leave for personal reasons, but we sincerely appreciate his contributions last year and wish him all the best in the future,” said the Brothers’ general manager.
With the release of Kirk McCarty, the CTBC Brothers now have José De Paula, Humberto Castellanos, Mario Sanchez and Nivaldo Rodriguez as their foreign players.
