2019 CPBL All-Star Weekend
The CPBL has announced the schedule and format of the 2019 All-Star Game. The annual CPBL All-Star Weekend will take place at Xinzhuang Stadium on July 27-28.
From May 21 until June 23, fans will be able to vote for their favourite players via several methods, from online, phone, magazine, newspaper or cast their votes at the game.
New Format: CPBL All-Star vs Team Taiwan
In preparation for the 2019 WBSC’s Premier12 Tournament, the CPBL has made a few changes to its All-Star Games format. Instead of the traditional Red vs White format, it is going to be a two-game series between CPBL All-Star and Team Taiwan.
The fans’ votes will form the CPBL All-Star team, while the National Team selection committee will pick the Team Taiwan roster.
Skills Challenge and Home Run Derby
The fans favourite skills challenge and the home run derby will once again return to the All-Star Weekend. At this stage, there is no news about the 2019 Skills Challenge events. We will update this at a later stage. But for now, enjoy some of the CPBL 2018 Skills Challenge highlight.
