“CHIA 23” Patch on All Brothers’ Uniforms for 2019

The Chinatrust Brothers have unveiled the special uniform patch to honour the 19-season veteran 彭政閔 (Peng Cheng-Min) who is going to retire after this season.

According to the Brothers’ organisation, for the entire 2019 season, all the Brothers’ uniforms will have the “CHIA 23” patch. The location of the patch will be on the back of the uniform above the players’ name.

Design Behind “CHIA 23” Uniform Patch

The “CHIA 23” logo concept is based on Peng Cheng-Min’s nickname “Chia Chia” and his number 23. The design contains steel-like edges which represent the countless time Peng using his body to block hard-hit grounders and his never-ending spirits to win.

The Brothers’ organisation also set September 29, 2019 as the final game for the Peng Cheng-Min. The 19-season CPBL poster child is most likely to join the Brothers’ coaching team after hanging up the cleats.
