CPBL Foreign Players Updates Volume #88
Chinatrust Brothers News: Alex Liddi
It is not easy being a foreign player in Taiwan’s CPBL, especially when you are a positional player. On June 4, the Chinatrust Brothers have released infielder Alex Liddi.
The 30-year-old former Seattle Mariners have struggled at plates since May 5, seeing a massive drop in his ISO and overall stats. Alex Liddi’s hitting slump is partly due to pitchers figured out his weakness with outside breaking pitches.
Alex Liddi finished his 2019 CPBL season with a slash line of .243/.279/.487, seven home runs and a 91 wRC+ across 33 games.
