86-year-old Tainan Stadium, home of the Uni-Lions under renovation/ expansion

86-Year old Tainan Stadium, home of the Uni-Lions is currently under renovation for dugouts and infield seating expansion. Stadium is expected to reopen in March just in time for 2017 CPBL season.

Built in 1931 during the Japan era.  Tainan baseball stadium is oldest active stadium in Taiwan.  The stadium hosted its first baseball game in 1931 where Tainan city defeated Taichung city 10-4.  In 1999, the stadium was officially adopted by Tainan based Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions.
