It’s that time of the year again with playoff baseball in Taiwan (CPBL). This year’s match is between Chinatrust Brothers & EDA Rhinos. Happy to answer any CPBL or Taiwanese baseball related questions too!
Some interesting facts for both organisations:
- 2016 is the 50th anniversary Chinatrust Financial. Brothers been going hard this year with their marketing and dropped some serious money in the free-agency market beginning of this season.
- 2016 season will be the last season for EDA Rhinos. The team has been sold to Fubon Financial Holding (A financial powerhouse in Taiwan) back in September. The new ownership is expected to take over after the Taiwan Series.
- Brothers this season is known of its fierce batting. But weak in the pitching department. Rhinos on the other hand is completely opposite, their pitching staff has been solid throughout this season. Will this be the classic shield vs spear match-up?
- Due to renovation at Kaohsiung stadium. Rhinos have to use Monkeys’ home stadium for this years Taiwan Series.
